The 2009/10 Leagues have now started. Those teams who still need to pay team fees can do so by submitting the appropriate form on the Leagues 2009/10  page.

All players are required to register and pay their individual fee BEFORE they play their first match

More detailed information and a Registration/Payment Form is available on the Leagues 2009/10 page.

This season will be used to beta test a new system for the creation, organisation, management and publication of competitions within Cornwall and will also provide Team Captains a simple means of posting their own results online.

The new system is designed to spread the workload involved in running Club and County competitions and events across the many rather than the few whilst at the same time drastically improving communications at all levels within individual clubs and across the County. Anyone interested in having access to the system can request an invitation on the Contact Us page.

This new system uses a third party service called  and all players registering to play in the leagues this season will receive (or have already received) an invitation to sign up to Sportalise.com*. The service is free and players need to register to enable their Team Captains to post individual games scores and match results. This is not yet another website to have to remember rather it is a plug-in to the main site providing everyone who signs up with personal access to tools enabling them to organise a wide range of sporting and/or social events at their own Club. So when you get your invitation, it's not spam. Acceptance is straightforward and takes just a few seconds.

If you wish to organise events at County level please use the Contact Us page to request an invitation for access to the Cornwall Squash admin area on Sportalise*.

Notes on posting results

In view of the decline in support for the Strivers competition it has been decided to hold a Doubles Competition in it's place this season as an experiment. This will be held at Falmouth Sports Club in early 2010 and will be open to all players (including ladies) of all ages and abilities. The only stipulation will be that only one member in any pair can play (or will have played prior to the end of the season) in Division 1 of the Cornwall team Squash Leagues. Steve Knightley of Bodmin has offered to organise the event and more information will be posted in the near future.

* Sportalise is owned and operated by Rivonia Consulting Ltd
Incorporated in England & Wales under company number 04739996
